Saul was a great friend. We had a lot of great adventures together all over the states and Mexico. I still tell stories of how he trained me for fights! It was amazing. 
I remember how heart broken he was when he broke his ankle when we each had fights in Arkansas.  I'm going to miss him immensely. 

I love you Saul and I'll see you again one day.

Thank you again for coaching & developing me into a better martial artist & man! I always wanted to train & learn from you. Finally had the opportunity when Metro Fight Club moved to O Athletik last year during the pandemic.  I immediately knew I had to join to learn & achieve my goals as a mixed martial artist! Thanks to Jacob Silva for letting me know & encouraging me to join! 
The system that you created allowed me to develop all of my martial arts skills to the next level 💯! Your coaches, fighters & members are all amazing & supportive as well! You treated me just like my dad did for me growing up with discipline, respect and care!
The Vietnamese Viper achieved my goal with winning my MMA Amateur debut with YOU! Forever grateful 🙏 I'm happy I was able to open up to you in the back locker room before & after my fight. Now I will keep fighting for you, Metro Fight Club and GOD!

Back in 1999 when I was looking to get in shape, I called two gyms and Saul was the one who called me back.  He said he had plenty of women training there.  I found out there were only a few when I was up on the tire, in front of a mirror with a room full of guys behind me!  But to this day I don't regret starting there or all the years I spent training with him.  I'm so glad we traveled on the road with Renegades and the wrestling show.  I was CD girl and fog machine girl and loaded more equipment in and out of trucks and cars than I ever thought possible.  I met my first husband and a best friend there and although those relationships didn't last I am a better person because of them and because of the Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu training at Saul's gym.  Thank you Saul for all the experiences you were a part of that made me a better person.  

Coach. It’s me Jacob. Kailyn and I will miss you dearly, thank you for the talks you’ve had with me and my daughter.  You were a great father figure and you’ve taught Kailyn more than you may know with out teaching her. 
I will miss telling the guys at the gym that I’m going to get you mad on purpose. They would just say I was stupid or dumb. Lmao while others found it intimidating, I found it funny. I love you coach! I’ll see you when I see you.  
 

. I have a lot of good memories that will be with me forever- now he’s gone to heaven with no more tubes hooked up to him , God was with him through all this suffering while in the hospital, it was time for God to take him home . God knows to the moment when he will takes us. We may not understand it and want it not to happen- we never want to let go of the people we love ,we want to hold on to them and not let go, it hurts with great pain knowing I won’t see him and spend time with him. But I know I will always cherish the time I spent with him and all the memories- now is the time to celebrate his life , he left his footprint on this earth, his path has touched many lives - he was loved by so many . I know JR is in heaven maybe training the Angels and watching down on us . To all his fighters/ students remember what he taught you and how he trained you - he excepted your very best, because he believed  in you , all the hard  no  nonsense was his way of showing he truly loved you , carry on the legacy of your Coach be the best you can be. He was a very special person, I will miss him and my heart will need time to heal- I’m hurting, crying, wanting to spend more time with him , it’s hard knowing I won’t . I know God is with him , I will continue my life knowing how special he was to me , thank you JR for all the memories- I love you JR
