

Scott proudly served in the United States Air Force and later went on graduate with his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and with a Master’s of Science in Telecommunications Systems Management from Southern Methodist University.
Scott was born on October 24, 1963 in Terre Haute, IN to Robert L. Decker and Kathleen Hanes Decker. Scott’s life was centered on Faith, family and friends and he had a presence which instantly lit up a room. When Scott walked through the door there was a contagious feeling of love and light, and his witty charm brought a smile to anyone. While his family and friends mourn his death, we will also celebrate the life he lived and the love he had for his wife whom he adored, Julie Dorsett Decker, and their four children, Hallie, Drew, Zac and Brant; otherwise known as #TeamDecker.
Alongside #TeamDecker, he is survived by his parents, his two siblings; Tammy Pupilli, her husband Mark and their children Jeff and Jennifer; brother Rick Decker and his wife Heidi and children Bobby, Rick II, Danny and Kayla. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Larry and Sharon Dorsett, brother-in-law, Brian Dorsett and his wife Gina and their children: Abigail Dorsett, Brandon Dorsett, Brittany Dorsett Young and her husband Cody. Scott is also survived by hundreds of cherished friends who will remember the impact he made in his community through his church, coaching and friendships.
A Memorial Service will be held at Second Baptist Church (Woodway Campus) in Houston, TX on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM CT, with Dr. Danny T. Havard officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to GoFundMe.com, Decker Memorial Fund, Sugar Land, TX.
