Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born on April 11, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Buford and Dorothy Forester. She spent much of her childhood in Amarillo, Texas, where she graduated from Amarillo High School and later attended Wayland Baptist College.
After marrying Jerry L. Hall, February 22, 1963, Sharon made her home in Houston, where they raised their two sons, Todd and Kent, whom she considered her greatest blessings.
Sharon worked for Brown & Root/KBR for over 31 years as a Documentation Manager, where she formed many lifelong friendships and treasured memories throughout her career.
She loved her church dearly and especially enjoyed singing in the choir and sharing fellowship with friends in her faith community. Sharon was also known for her love of blue-and-white décor and her gift for home decorating, creating warm and beautiful spaces wherever she lived.
After the loss of her first husband, Jerry, following 32 wonderful years of marriage, Sharon was blessed with a second chance at love when she married Homer Martin on August 17, 2013. Together, they built a joyful life centered on family, cherished time with old and new friends, and faithful involvement in their church. After retiring, they enjoyed traveling to visit family out of town and taking trips abroad. As Sharon came to need additional care, Homer never left her side, ensuring she received the very best support and love possible. They shared 12 wonderful years of marriage, and Sharon was truly blessed to have known two great loves in her lifetime.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Homer Martin; her sons, Todd Hall (Robin) and Kent Hall (Patricia); her cherished grandsons, Brandon, Bryce, Aidan, and Ian; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Charlie, as well as her soon-to-arrive great-grandson, Brooks.
She is also survived by her brother, David Forester (Sherry); Homer’s children, Scott, Greg, Tim, and Rachel and their families; Nicholas and Nathian; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Sharon was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Hall, and her parents, Buford and Dorothy Forester.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Vantage Hospice, Lynn’s Private Care, and the many nurses who cared for Sharon with kindness and dignity.
