She was a good friend and a beautiful woman. I remember how Gorgeous she was when she modeled for the style shows in Bmt.. prayers for you and family.

Shirley spoke the language of gardens and flowers so we understood each other clearly. Every interaction was bright with laughter and light. She carried a lightheartedness that lifted the vibration of those she encountered. Her home in Portland felt like a refuge every time I entered, and Shirley even offered her home and garden to let us hold a beautiful tag sale that is an event many of us still hold dear. I was so happy to get to know Shirley through Jennifer during their time in Portland and I even had a quick meet up with Shirley on her garden tour through Portugal a few years ago. I wished I'd had another afternoon in her garden with her. I know there are gardens where she is now and I am sure she'll be cultivating plants too.  Sending all my love to Jennifer and family.

So sorry to hear of Shirly`s death.    I know she be missed by all,  Jennifer and Amy,  she has been in my thought for the last 14 years, good time Shirly,she was fun loving,   great sprit, she had it all...... I know she be in good hands with god......    Henry Jackolope

I met Shirley on a couple of tours in Europe. Her elegant way and graceful manner - along with her sense of fun - were a captivating combination. She had such a delightful sense of humour, and we did have some giggles. Now she has gone home, I'm sure she's relaxing somewhere comfy, with her feet up, thinking of her warm memories, whilst planning her next adventure.

My heart is broken for the loss of my Aunt Sissy. We grew up 28 miles apart and it was always so much fun when I got to go stay with her and Grandma. Their home was always filled with laughter and love. We were only seven years apart in age and we loved sharing our birthdays seven days apart. Sissy was always my idol and I always loved her so.
Life moves on to marriages and families and we still still got to share so many wonderful memories over the years.
I loved our travels together to Italy, Portugal, and Canada and my many trips to see you in Portland.
We enjoyed many a laugh together over a glass or two of wine!
Then you moved to Houston, my hometown , and we were able to have lunch often and of course, a glass of wine.
Sissy, I will greatly miss you and I will carry you in my heart forever with so many precious memories until we meet again.

Amy-kins and Jens,  It breaks my heart at your loss.  I will miss my Aunt Sissy greatly but will remember her with smiles.  I have so many loving memories of her with the first being her smile and beauty.  I hardly remember without her trademark smile and warmth.  The first words to come to mind are vivacious with a touch of mischievous and energetic with a sense of purpose and a beautiful soul.  I remember as a child visiting her and grandmother and we would all sleep in one bed with me in the middle and feeling so wrapped in love.  She and grandmother had such a loving home with Sandy and Hirkimir and I always felt that love and comfort anytime visiting Aunt Sissy in  her homes  or simply spending time with her.  She will be so missed but will always be with me in my heart and in my memories.
