Son Ngoc Nguyen

With faith in the Risen Christ, our family respectfully announces to all priests, nuns, religious men and women, associations, relatives, and friends near and far: our brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

Son Ngoc Nguyen, affectionately known as Sonny, was born on November 6, 1957, in Saigon, Vietnam. He was called home to the Lord at 12:54 pm on December 8, 2025, at the age of 68.

Sonny was a resident of Sugar Land, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Nguyễn Phạm Hồng, his son Nguyễn Andy Tuấn and daughter-in-law Marzhan Zhakashbayeva, along with their children, Nguyễn Andie Ainaline and Nguyễn Andy Ahmet. He is also survived by his daughter, Nguyễn Christine Đan Thanh.

Sonny leaves behind his sister, Trần Thu Tâm, and her husband, children, and grandchildren; his brothers, Nguyễn Văn Nhàn, Nguyễn Ngọc Linh, Nguyễn Ngọc Dũng, and Nguyễn Thế Hùng, along with their respective families. He was preceded in death by his brother, Nguyễn Ngọc Hà.

The funeral program is as follows:

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Garden Oaks Funeral Home, located at 13430 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77083, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. An Opening Ritual will follow from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with Community Prayers from 4:00 pm to 6:15 pm, and Prayers for Family (Reserved) from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm.

The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 13350 Ashford Point Drive, Houston, TX 77082, at 10:30 am.

A Witness Cremation Ceremony will be held on December 22, 2025, at the Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park, 2454 S Dairy Ashford Rd, Houston, TX 77077, at 10:30 am.
