Souraya Z. Jubran, 92, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025. She was born on August 4, 1933, in the Old City of Jerusalem, Palestine, to her loving parents Stawry and Mary Zayed.
Souraya met the love of her life, Jalil Jubran, in Jerusalem. The two married on November 25, 1952, and together built a life centered on faith, family, and deep generosity of spirit. Their partnership remained a lasting example of devotion and strength.
Souraya cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was a constant source of warmth, food, laughter, and stories places where family gathered, and memories were made. Her gentle presence, wisdom, and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jalil, and her daughter, Joanne Jubran Ghanim.
Souraya is survived by her children: Nader Jubran and his wife, Kitty; Jawad Jubran and his wife, Pat; and Nadia Jubran. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Souraya’s legacy of love, resilience, and faith continues through the family she nurtured and the lives she touched. May her memory be eternal.
