Remembering T
When Tanya was a child, she was precious in every way. She loved to go fishing & crabbing with the family & often was the only one with the patience to wait it out to catch anything. With the family already in the car ready to leave & her Dad honking the horn, she would remain on the dock with her pole, line in water. She would flip her blonde pony tail around & with a frustrated look, she would refuse to leave. This would go on until she caught something. She was proud of her catch, whether the size of a minnow or a keeper for dinner.
She loved animals & was always bringing home injured birds, lizards, squirrels, you name it. She would put it in a shoebox, cover it up & bring it to Mom, fully expecting a miracle every time. When the critter didn't survive, she was genuinely shocked & sad for days.
Tanya always wanted to save everything & everybody. Always generous with the downtrodden & "put upon," she usually had ideas to make things better for those people, often when she needed help herself. She genuinely loved to help others & many times she did, either with cards, a loan, or just a phone call... "Hey, it's T, whatcha up to?"
Tanya was my daughter, my baby girl. I loved her more than I could ever explain & I always will. Through adulthood, illness, hard times, good times, family issues & absences, my heart would skip when she called & I would know she was ok.

"Your mind can rest now, Tanya, there's no more "fixing" to be done. No more misunderstandings, things to straighten out, places to be, parties to show up for. No more Dr. appointments, no paperwork to do, no more "worrying about my boys." You're with your loved ones in that Heavenly Place where there is only Peace & Love. I know that Dad has his arms around you, & "Bubba" & Grandma are smiling & enjoying your company. You were always fun, T."
"Goodbye my sweet girl."

Tanya, what a shock I received today when Samuel called to cancel your insurance coverage. Although we had never met in person, over the past 9 years we became friends over the phone that started with insurance coverage.

You have earned your heavenly wings to fly with the rest of God's angels. May you rest in peace.
