

Teresa Mary "Nana" Gallegos, age 61, passed away on October 18, 2025, in Cypress, Texas. Born on March 29, 1964, in Bernalillo, New Mexico, Teresa lived a life filled with laughter, love, and generosity that touched all who knew her.
Teresa spent many years as a beloved bartender at the American Legion Post 117, where she became a familiar and cherished presence to countless patrons and friends. Her warm smile and vibrant personality made every shift feel like a celebration. After retiring from her career, she moved to Houston to embrace her most treasured role—being a full-time Nana.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Eulogio "Ralph" Gallegos; daughters Jessica Rocha (Thomas) and Jessica Hamel; sons Gilbert Chavez and Christopher Valenzuela (Monique); and stepdaughter Eva Montgomery. Teresa was also a devoted sister to Della Saiz (Armando) and Nicole Saiz (Steven Gallegos). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: granddaughters Trinity, Jazmine, Haven-lei, Vivianna, and Aviella; grandsons Andreyes, Ricky, Cj, and Reyuel; and great-granddaughter Azaleah.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rita Saiz, father Joe Sisneros, and brother Raymond Sisneros.Teresa’s passions brought joy not only to herself but to those around her. A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she rarely missed a game. She loved spending time with friends—sharing drinks, singing karaoke, and bowling on her Wii with infectious enthusiasm. In recent years, some of her happiest moments were spent watching her youngest granddaughter’s grow up and engaging in playful competitions over who could deliver the best scare.
Known for turning any gathering into a party with her bubbly spirit and radiant smile, Teresa had an unmatched ability to make people feel welcome and loved. She embraced life fully—as a proud Nana, a bossy but loving wife to Ralph, and as someone who never missed an opportunity to laugh or dance.
In accordance with Teresa's final wishes, she will be cremated. A celebration of life party will be held in Clovis, New Mexico at a later date to be announced- a fitting tribute for someone who brought so much joy into the lives of others.
