Trinidad P. Nuncio Jr.

Trinidad Pena Nuncio Jr, 79, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by love on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Trinidad was born in Gibsonburg, Ohio on October 14, 1943 to Trinidad Nuncio and Nicolasa Pena Nuncio. He was survived by his wife of 56 years Carmen Nuncio. Together they raised four daughters, Rebecca Stakes (James), Christina Martinez (Adam), Nicolasa Smith (Kirby), and Monica Lopez (Chris). He is also survived by eight grandchildren Samantha Nicole Stakes, Cecilia Carmen Martinez, Bella Valentina Martinez, Trinidad Lucas Martinez, Abigail Aniceta Lopez, Zachariah Tomas Lopez, Michael Rudolph Lopez, and Carmela May Smith. Trinidad’s surviving siblings are Margie Nuncio Hernandez (Luciano), Guadalupe Nuncio Rodriguez, Ronaldo Nuncio (Rosalie), and numerous nieces and nephews. Trinidad was preceded in death by his parents Trinidad Nuncio and Nicolasa Pena Nuncio, sisters Sara Garza and Christine Soliz, and children Christopher Nuncio and Gloria Nuncio.

Trinidad was a long time machinist for Rawson. His first love was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved attending Astros games, grandkid’s school functions, and he ran various softball leagues for many years. One of his exceptional traits was his ability to turn a stranger into a friend in a matter of moments. He was a long time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

It is not enough to say that Trinidad will be missed, but his absence on Earth reminds us that he is basking in the light of God in Heaven. Until we are reunited, let us live as he did: full of love and joyful to care for one another.

A visitation for Trinidad will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at St Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St, Houston, TX 77009. A rosary service will occur Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 7:00 pm, 4918 Cochran St, Houston, Texas 77009. A funeral mass will occur Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, 4918 Cochran St, Houston, TX 77009. A committal service will occur Friday, August 18, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
