He was the eldest son in a family of eight siblings and studied at La Salle Mossard. An accomplished artist, he brought the beauty of life into every oil and lacquer painting he created. Clients from France, Japan, and Germany came not only to purchase his art but to meet a man who lived gently, sincerely, and with deep appreciation for natural beauty.
When the family came to the USA and had to start over, he didn't give up. He began painting murals and working as a designer in oil and gas. In Vietnam, he had painted volunteer artwork on the wall behind a Buddha statue, praying that his father would be released soon from the reeducation camp.
He always taught his children the culture of Vietnam, to remember and be grateful to the country that sheltered and nurtured them. He had planned to retire next year and return to his art, but his health took an unexpected turn.
He accomplished all the greatest missions of his life. He raised his children well; they are both successful with careers, futures, and beautiful hearts, all made possible through his sacrifices.
He is survived by his loving wife, two children, and seven siblings. Though he is no longer by their side, his heart remains alive in his art, in their memories, and in their love. His family will forever carry him with them.
