Vanda Smith Nicholson, age 80, of Buffalo, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Vanda was born in Houston, Texas on October 13, 1940. Vanda was married to Freddie Joe Nicholson on April 17, 1959. She attended Smiley High School and received her realtor license. Vanda had a career in real estate and retail for Remax and Dillards. She later became a house-wife. She was a member in Master Gardener Texas and the Girl Scouts. She was interested in snow skiinig, baseball, PTA, Vegas, the Girl Scouts and loved spending time with family.
Vanda is preceded in death by her siblings Linda smith and Marilyn Smith Robinson. She is survived by her children Kimberly Nicholson, Kelley Stotts and Vickie Fuller; her grandchildren Blake Nicholson, Krista Fuller, Justin Stotts and Shelbey Stotts; her great grandchildren Natalie Reese, Grace Ann Alston and Braylon Alston.
A visitation for Vanda will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 3:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
