He was preceded in death by parents, Victor Neuhaus and Elizabeth Carter and son Charley Crotty Carter. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Adrienne Carter; children, Annabelle, Stephanie, Christopher, Cynthia, and Victor III; two sisters Mary Carter Marold, Anne Carter Parker; partner in crime, David Marold; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, many many friends; and soon to be joined by Nambe, the cat. Victor will miss talking with David, Dorset, Fredericka, Ian and many others.
As Victor would have put it, he “croaked” on Monday in Galveston. He was a generous man and a great entertainer; he enjoyed golf, cooking, eating a good rare ribeye, theater, art, flowers, and a real martini made with gin. He hated broccoli. He attended The Kinkaid School, graduated from The Lawrenceville School and attended Stanford University.
A gathering of family and friends was held from two until five o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 1st of April, on the 6th floor reception area of the Museum Tower, 4899 Montrose Boulevard in Houston.
Another celebration of life is being planned this summer in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
