Victoria is survived by her son Bobby Morales, daughter in law Cheryl and 2 granddaughters Catherine and Ana Morales; sisters Juanita Trono, Vicenta Martinez, and Felipa Haro.
She was preceded in death by her husband Brisio Morales and parents; brothers: Aristeo, Francisco, and Miguel.
Victoria graduated from Natalia High School in 1950 and attended the Durham Business School. While at home she took great pride in caring for her parents. She was a doting aunt involved in the daily lives of her brothers, sisters and their children. Victoria’s dedication to her family stayed constant throughout her life as she put that same energy into caring for several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Victoria worked at the local department store then hired on with the Postal Service in 1966 where she worked for 25 years before retiring in 1991. She married Brisio Morales in 1970, and raised their son in Natalia, Texas alongside the people she loved so dearly. Brisio and Victoria welcomed their home and hearts to many friends and family in their community.
In her later years, she and Brisio loved to spend time at the casinos and bingo halls. They moved to Houston in 2013 to be closer to their son after Victoria was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It was because of this move that allowed her to really get to know her granddaughters and create memories we bring up daily today. Her mannerisms, her sense of humor, and Victoria’s true love for her family are the driving force of our memories of her. In 2016 her disease had progressed to the point she required care at a nursing home facility to meet her daily needs. Her daily visitor and champion was her husband, Brisio, who rarely missed an opportunity to drive himself to see her when no one was available to accompany him.
Arrangements for Victoria’s cremation are under the direction of Brookside Funeral Home in Cypress, Texas.
Given the current times, our family hasn’t had the opportunity to mourn with our loved ones the way we would have wanted. We know that there are many loved ones that miss her and wish to say their goodbyes formally. In time, we hope to gather for a memorial and will update the family once we have made those arrangements. We ask that her loved ones remember Victoria in their own special ways.
