

Vinson Leus Wegner passed away Saturday, the 31st of October 2015 after a three year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born in Newton, Kansas the 15th of November 1929 to Adolph and Erna Leus Wegner. Vince spent forty years in the aviation and Aerospace industry. He retired from the Boeing Company with 35 years of service.
Vince attended Kansas University following four years of service in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
Vince married the love of his life, Virginia Lee Oaks the 23rd of September 1953. Vince and Virginia celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary last month.
He is survived by wife Virginia L. Wegner; sons, Daniel V. Wegner; David A. Wegner and wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Amy Grimme and husband, Ben; and Winston O. Wegner. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Summer Grimme, Charlotte Grimme, Evangeline Grimme; sisters, Helen Nation, Irene Tittel; brothers, Richard Wegner and wife Jeanne; Kenneth Wegner and wife Ruth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 13th of November, at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The interment service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 14th of November, at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster.
