

She was born in Houston, Texas on the 8th of October 1929. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Dr. Ralph Berkeley; her children, Dr. Michael Berkeley and wife Maci, Mimi Berkeley Sadler and husband Alan, Tony Berkeley and wife Katherine. She also leaves her grandchildren, Robert and Matthew Berkeley, Annie Sadler Bradbury and husband Mike, Ginna Sadler Koury and husband Kevin, John and Will Sadler, Olivia Berkeley; sister, Barbara Hill; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Edward and Virginia Attwell Fitch; her son, Kent; and her brother, Dr. Edward Fitch.
Jenny graduated from Lamar High School and the University of Texas where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was also a member of The Garden Club of Houston, The Junior League of Houston and St. John the Divine. She was a talented designer and established the Carousel Maternity Shop while Ralph was in Medical School. She was one of the founders of The Center for Recovering Families. Jenny deeply desired to obey her Savior's mandate to care for those in need. She passionately and joyfully invested her time, talents and resources in the less fortunate of Houston, as well as around the world.
Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances from five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening on Monday, the 21st of March, in the Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 22nd of March, at The Church of St. John the Divine, 2450 River Oaks Boulevard in Houston, with the Rev. Dr. Laurens A. Hall, Rector, officiating. Immediately following the service, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the adjacent Sumners Hall.
Prior to the service, the immediate family will have gathered for a private inurnment at Glenwood Cemetery.
