To all of Vita's family:  I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Vita. The name Vita means life and Vita was truly life lived well and will be missed by all she touched.  Her personality was like a magnet to happiness and I am honored to have known her. During the years I lived in San Leon I was blessed to have Vita and her family only four doors down.  She taught me so much in those years that I will be forever grateful for.  
May God bless all of you and your families in this time of sorrow and grief.  In time to come may you feel comforted by your fond memories of all the good times your family is so well known for as you shared each other's love.  Vita had a knack for gathering her family around her as she shared her enthusiasm for life.  She was definitely a vivacious lady who relished helping others and her effervescent personality reached out to all.
Vita's love for art not only included her beautiful paintings but extended to the work she did at Magnificant House, the many years of service she directed to sculpting decorative pieces for the annual St. Joseph Altars, her passion for cooking was also a work of art.  She definitely captivated life and showed all around her how to live a life well lived.  Vita Vitina, as I called her, will be missed by all but her passion and gusto for life will be cherished for years to come.

To the entire Rossi family,

My heart breaks that I didn't get to see Godmother before I moved to Georgia and I'm am truly sorry that I cannot attend her funeral.  I wanted you all to know how very special your mother/grandmother was to me from a very little girl.  We had a lot of times just the two of us at the Bay House that are memories carved into my heart and mind! I could talk to her about anything and everything sitting on that pier or on her front porch in San Leon. When I was a little girl, I couldn't wait for Christmas and my birthday because she would make a special trip to my home every year to give me my gift.  The gifts would always be wrapped like a piece of art and I had her art displayed in my room all of my life! I will treasure every one of them!  I loved watching her cook, and she even taught me to paint at one time! I loved the smell of her house in Houston..oil paint and garlic! I admired everything about her..her free spirit, her faith, her humor, her beautiful blue eyes and her love for so many.  I even got the chance to work with her at the Magnificat House and I got to witness her love for the mentally ill and how she made them laugh. I saw how she helped them through her art.  Her and I would find humor with the residents there and would laugh and laugh! My parents couldn't have chosen a more beautiful Godmother and Godfather that I had in Vita and Armando Rossi.  My life have been blessed to have known her and to have been loved by her! I will never forget you Godmother..never!!! I love you!

Dear Andy, Tina and Marianne and family,

I wanted you all to know how much Vita meant to me in my  life.  I'm sorry I didn't come to see her while she was sick, I loved her too much to see her that way.  I will always treasure our friendship and our days at the bay house.  Those are memories that me and Ross and the family will always have in our hearts just as Vita will remain in our hearts forever.  I will always miss our conversations and our friendship that spans over 50 years.  Our friendship is very special and I dearly loved Vita.   My sympathy and  love to you all,

I will always remember the goods times and good food to be had when around Vita and family. As a young girl I spent a many a nights at their home and we would travel to take dinner to
