

She is predeceased by her parents, Vito Ferreri and Mary Pantaleo, her husband of 47 years, Armando Rossi and grandson Garrett Rossi. She is survived by her children: Andrew M. Rossi and wife Kathleen, Tina Brady and husband Kevin, and Mary Ann Rossi and husband Mike Smith. Her grandchildren: Camille Costlow and her husband Christian, Angela Ellis and her husband Louis, Dr. Andrew Rossi, Jr., Zachary Brady, Evan Rossi, Nicole Brady and Nicholas Rossi; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Josh and Simon Costlow; sisters: Frances Pollizzio and Dorothy Piazza and her brother Joe Ferreri and wife Madeline. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Vita was an accomplished artist, devoting many years of her life painting and teaching art therapy at the Magnificat House. She was an excellent cook who dedicated her skills creating baked goods for the feast of St. Joseph. She especially enjoyed spending time at the bay with her family. She was a member of the Theresians of Houston and Ladies of Sacred Heart. Maw-Maw was very devoted to her family. She was wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 3:00 pm and a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77056. Rite of committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer.
The honor to serve as pallbearers is Dr.Andrew Rossi, Jr., Zachary Brady, Evan & Nicholas Rossi, Dr. Dan Piazza and Gary Piazza. Dr. Joe Piazza honorary pallbearer.
