Vo Thi De

De T. Vo, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully, on April 28, 2025 at St. Luke Health – The Vintage Hospital after a long battle with severe COPD.

She was born and raised in Long Dinh Village, Can Duoc, Long An – Vietnam in a family with a farming tradition. At the age of 38, when the Vietnam War was over, she managed to raise seven children by herself while her husband, a soldier of The Republic of Vietnam was detained in a communist camp for eight years. She came to the United States in 2003.

De Vo truly lived her life to the fullest through love and simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to Buddhist temples, gardening, and helping people.

She is survived by her children Phuong K. Vo, Phuong M. Vo, Nhut M. Vo, Oanh K. Vo, Loan K Vo, Cuc K. Vo, Nga T. Vo, nine grandchildren, and a great granddaughter.

Family members, relatives, and friends are invited to the Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park, 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77077, from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025 to reminisce, grieve, and support.

- 9:00 am: Funeral Service: Buddhist Chanting, Eulogy and Paying Respect

- 10:30 am: Procession for Cremation Ceremony

- 11:00 am: “Rest-ịn-peace” Service at Phuoc Duc Buddhist Monastery
