It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wenser Jaffet Carrero, who left us on November 15, 2025, at the age of 31. He was a beloved son, brother, loving husband, father, cousin, and friend — a gentle, loving soul who, despite his struggles, always leaned toward caring, trying, and wanting to do better.
Born on August 1, 1994, Wenser grew into a man marked by kindness, humility, and compassion. He shared these parts of himself with the people around him, forming deep connections and turning friends into family. His life reflected a constant desire to love, grow, and support those he cared about.
Wenser is survived by his mother, Leida Carrero; his father, Freddy Carrero; his siblings, Leddy Anonson and Franklin Carrero; his wife, who he loved deeply; and his two children, Sage (4) and Irina (newborn). His family was the center of his world — his pride, his joy, and his greatest source of strength. He spoke of them often and loved them with all his heart.
Music was one of Wenser’s deepest passions. As a DJ and electronic music producer, he found expression and peace in sound, especially in the immersive styles heard at festivals like Wakan and in the work of his favorite artist, Liquid Stranger. Music was how he connected — with himself, with others, and with the world around him.
He also loved being active: walking trails, going to the gym, and lifting weights. At home, he found another way to show love through cooking. Feeding his friends and family brought him real joy. Opening his home, making a meal, and seeing others enjoy it was one of the ways he expressed pride and care.
Wenser found community in many places — at music festivals, behind the DJ booth, and through his work and love of the Renaissance Festival. He had a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life, often bringing them together with his warmth and his music.
Above all, Wenser will be remembered for his big heart. He gravitated toward people who needed support and often became the one others turned to in hard times. Whether he was listening without judgment, offering a hug, sharing a laugh, or quietly stepping in to help, he consistently tried to be there for the people he loved.
Those who knew him will remember his gentle spirit, his warm hugs, his sarcastic and silly sense of humor, and his ability to brighten even difficult days. Friends recall long talks after work, sharing Twisted Teas, laughing together, and hearing him proudly talk about his family and the people who meant the most to him. Though his time here was far too short, the love Wenser gave and the memories he leaves behind will remain with us always. His spirit lives on in his children, his family, and the many lives he touched.
A visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, located at 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095, on November 25, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on November 26, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
