My memories of Wilbert vary in content.  I remember Wilbert and his camera.  He took pictures of my mother's installation as Worthy Matron in Eastern Star.  He also spent an afternoon showing me how to use my camera better.  He was a lot of fun to be around.  I recall parties where he told jokes and funny stories.  I loved his dogs and what he trained them to do.  Many times when I was over at Marie's playing cards, he would drop in for a visit.  He will be missed.  I am praying for the family.  

I’m so sad writing this.... Wil, you were like a dad to me. I loved you just like a daughter would love her dad. 

I will miss your big hugs and your big voice! You always made me feel so good about myself and your stories..... loved them! 

I love you Wil ...... and Judy I love you too. Thank you both for everything you have done for me. 


My dad was the greatest smartest person I ever knew. He taught me so much about being a man. He was tough of me and it made me the man I am today. I will miss going to movies with him cooking with him. The times we fished and sailed together. And just him telling me so many stories. You weren't my step dad he was my real dad. I love dad ! 

Hi Judy...........

I wanted to write and express my husband's and my condolences to you.  Will had a tough battle to fight with his illness but I think he managed to live much longer than many would have.

He was definitely his "own" person and lived life "his way".

He will be missed and I am sorry we have always lived far away from one another and didn't get to see each other very often.

Please accept our prayers for you and Will.

Will Gordon was a special person. He had an advanced intellect and was very into studying many scientific fields. His knowledge on many areas of study such as physics and chemistry was advanced. Will and I usually talked by phone at least twice a month and sometimes weekly for the last 6 years. He had many ideas and opinions ripe for conservation. He handled his medical conditions with grace and courage. Throughout it all he still demonstrated his sense of humor. Will was devoted to Judy. I will miss him a lot and will miss our phone calls. He was a dear friend. Ken Owens.

Wilbert and I became friends when I started dating his Sister, Betty. Wilbert had a black 1954 Mercury and I had a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria.  We enjoyed 'drag-racing' up-and-down 'Pinemont- Drive', near ' Hempstead- Highway,' when  Tradewinds- Roller- Rink closed for the evening.  

Wilbert was like the 'Bother I never had.' Many good-times, many -memories.

I will miss him -- Rest-In-Peace.

I met Wil when I was in 7th grade.  We would go to Tradewinds Skating Rink and skate. After high school we were still skating at the rink but we were an adult club at the rink.  We became really good friends.  He brought me in as a partner to run the concession stand. My sister and I ran it together.  Wil taught me many things in life.  I will miss him dearly.
