

Mr. Davidson was a native of Lexington, Kentucky, son of the late William Bryan Davidson and Annie Elizabeth Graves Davidson. He was educated at the University of Kentucky, where he received a BS degree in mathematics, and at UCLA, where he received an MBA degree. He had worked as mathematician/analyst for several companies in Texas, New Mexico and California, and had retired in 1990 from Ferranti International Controls Corporation, where he was Vice President of Marketing and Systems.
Since retirement he had worked part time as a musician in the Houston area, and had been a pianist and associate organist at Park Place United Methodist Church, and associate pianist for the Greater Houston Chorus. Mr. Davidson was an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, where he was a choir member and teacher.
His survivors include cousins, Mary Jo LaPointe, Anna Laura Boulos and Barbara Maranville of Lexington, Kentucky, Samuel Davidson Hatcher of Pikeville, Kentucky, and Laura Virginia Collins of Boca Raton, Florida.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 23rd of June, in the Drawing Room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 24th of June, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer Road in Houston, where Dr. Linda Christians, Executive Pastor, is to officiate.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the adjacent Hines Baker room.
Private interment is to be conducted at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in Mr. Davidson’s name may be directed to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Choir, P. O. Box 22013 – Houston, TX, 77227-2013; or the charity of one’s choice.
