Bill was born in Houston, Texas on August 2, 1929 to George Fredrick and Maude Clare (Heinze) Elsenbrock. He grew up in east Houston and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Spending his entire professional career at Krueger Engineering and Manufacturing, he served the company for almost 40 years, eventually taking on the roles of Lead Engineer and Vice President of Operations.
He married Sharlie Rae Evans in Prescott, Arkansas, on October 9, 1954. A compassionate soul who loved the Lord, he was a member of Forest Cove Baptist Church (which later became Houston Second Baptist), serving as a deacon for over 30 years. He was also involved with the Gideon International evangelical organization. Bill and Sharlie loved spending time camping, hiking, and sight-seeing in the Colorado and Canada mountains every summer, and always looked forward to fellowshipping with the many camping friends they made over the years. Family was very important to Bill, and he cherished every opportunity to gather whether it be for holidays, family events, or vacations.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Sharlie Elsenbrock, and their 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren: William J. Elsenbrock, Jr. (Ethan, Brentan and Zachary); Sharon and Mike Graham (LeAnna and Leslee); David and Susan Elsenbrock (Cole and Anna Marie Elsenbrock [Emma and Elliott], and Haley and Bryce Brown); Carole and Warren Dalton (Ashley, and Demi and Garrett Beadle [Ryder and Rylee]); Russell and Teresa Elsenbrock (Aaron, Jenna, Adam, and Anthony); and sister, Marjorie Ann Peck. Bill will be deeply missed by his family and numerous friends.
