William Edward Gilbreath

William Edward (Bill) Gilbreath passed away October 26, 2012. Born August 6, 1934, he was 78 years old. He was lovingly Called “Mr. Bill” by all of the employees, their families, friends and associates at Builders Equipment & Tool Co., Inc., known as “BETCO,” a Gilbreath Family business where he succeeded his father as an owner and served as its President for 30 years. He was a resident of Huffman Texas. He leaves behind his cherished companion pet dachshund Bullet.

Saying goodbye to their beloved “Dad and Granddad” are his daughter Cindy Burkett, son-in-law Doyle Burkett, granddaughter Chelsea Burkett, sons Stavis Gilbreath, and Matthew R. Gilbreath, as well as his stepchildren William E. Meyer, Lynda Kuenzle, and Jeana Monteau. He was loved and will be missed by his many step grandchildren and the entire extended family.

Affectionately called “Billy” by his siblings as a young man, he is survived by his loving sister Margaret Schneider, and brothers Tommy L. Gilbreath, Sr. and Robert Clyde Gilbreath.

Bill’s family members, close friends and care givers are deeply saddened by the loss of their Dad, Granddad, Brother, and friend.

Services for Bill will be held at Brookside Funeral Home located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Viewing is scheduled November 2, 2012 from 5pm-8pm, and services on November 3, 2012 at 10am.
