Will Huddleston unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, the 29th of January 2026. He was 36 years of age. He is survived by his loving wife, Anny Huddleston, his children he adored, Harper and Hailey Huddleston, his father, Peter D. Huddleston, sister Katherine Huddleston, and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Berry Huddleston.
Will graduated from Memorial High School as a valedictorian in 2007 and went on to graduate from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He worked for Huddleston & Co., Inc. throughout his career.
Will was kind, loving, goofy, sarcastic, brilliant, emotional, complex, witty, happy and hopeful. His interests and hobbies were diverse – ranging from watching football to watching birds, to photography, boats, pocketknives, philosophy and any other obsession of the month. Will recognized the beauty in all animals, loving them and treating them with kindness and tenderness. For their wedding anniversary this past year, Will and Anny travelled to Costa Rica with the sole purpose of watching birds and other wildlife together and adding new bird species to their “life lists.” Will possessed an incomparable sense of curiosity which led to a diverse knowledge base on many subjects. Whenever he found a subject of interest he pursued it with unabated passion.
His greatest gift was his kindness and infinite love for others. He was an incredible, fiercely loving father to his two beautiful daughters and a devoted, adoring husband to his wife of seven years. Will was called many things including husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend but the greatest title and the one he was most proud of was Daddy. There was no one his girls loved more than him, and his girls will forever be known as Daddy’s little girls.
Throughout Will’s life, he firmly stood by countless others as they battled medical and personal challenges. He was a blessing for his mother throughout her battle with cancer. He accompanied numerous people to unending doctor’s visits, hospital stays and surgeries and stood by them through their medical recoveries. Will was a people person and, as such, developed a vast number of friendships. He truly cared about people, bringing kindness, honesty, compassion and true interest to every relationship. You could always count on Will in times of need, and this loving care was extended to countless family members, friends, and acquaintances.
Will’s view of the world, universe, and God was vast, beautiful and everchanging. Will had a personal relationship with the Lord that was rarely shared with others and was always growing and evolving. We have hope and peace knowing that Will now resides in heaven with Jesus Christ by his side.
Will is deeply and painfully missed by his wife, children, father, sister, family and many friends. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Rev. Dr. Matt Russell for his unwavering support. Matt was a dear and beloved friend of Will’s. Thank you for giving him a safe space to explore his spirituality, for transforming his life, and for walking Will home.
A memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 11th of February, at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay Street in Houston, with Rev. Dr. Matt Russell, Executive Pastor of Chapelwood United Methodist Church officiating.
Immediately following, all are invited to a reception with the family in the Chapelwood Fellowship Hall.
