William Lowell Posey, 68, passed away at the Houston VA hospital surrounded by many loved ones and close friends on March 9, 2018. He was born April 9, 1949 in Frankfurt, Indiana to Irene Posey and Arnold Posey.
William met his wife, Deborah Posey and they got married on November 12, 1977, at Strongsville Lutheran Church, Strongsville, OH. They then settled in Tomball, Texas in 1980, where he retired from Harris County Infrastructure Department as an inspector for roads and bridges. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was also a lifetime member of the Klein Volunteer Fire Department and very proud of that. His favorite pastime was riding his beloved motorcycle and his passion for Mustangs for which he had owned several. William loved all animals and especially Phiedeaux his current dog.
William spent much of his passion in life in addiction recovery as a co-founder of the Broken Chains Ministry of over 20 years. After going through recovery himself William sought out the need to help others through the process and took great pride in his ministry of recovery. Over the many years William and Debbie touched many lives in so many ways from breaking free from addictions to relationship counseling to Marriage of several people close to them.
William is preceded in death by his mother Irene Posey, OH; father Arnold Posey, OH; brother Skeeter Posey and brother, Victor Posey.
William is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Deborah Posey of Houston, sister Susie Kish, OH; son Jason Posey and partner Tony of San Antonio; daughter Wendy Valentine (Dan), OH; daughter April Boesken, OH; son Billy Humphrey, LA; and son Mike Humphrey (Linda), OH. He will be missed by his many grandchildren: Ashley, Breannia, Maddison, Jarrett, Mitchell, Zachary, James, Charlotte, Zachary, Melea, Michael Jr., Cody, Courtney and several great grandchildren. There was a special place in his heart as well for two young ladies: Stinky (Kiane Jackson) and Red (Kaitlyn Larkin), whom he loved as his own. William had many close friends and loved ones and considered them family as well.
The family would like to thank The Klein Volunteer Fire Department for all the love, support and meals they provided to the family.
