

He attended GW Carver, where he graduated and was an active member of the choir. He was a lead singer and sung with well known Loretta Devine. He entered the Air Force and served until August of 1969. Willie successfully completed the Jet Engine Mechanic course and was honorably discharged. He attended Bible Ambassador College.
Willie was truly a giving person. He contributed to Star of Hope, St. Jude, Feed the Children and numerous ministries. He was a faithful tither to the church he attended, Greater Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Forrest Kindley.
He was called from labor to reward on June 14, 2024. Preceded in death by parents, Willie Foster Sr. and Celester Dogan- Foster; and one sister, Betteye Foster.
He leaves to mourn; two brothers, Billie Foster Sr. and Clyde Foster; seven sisters, Gloria Brown, Corine Ward, Esther Coleman, Jacquelin Neal, Addie Deloatch, Dollie Davis and Tia Horn; a host of friends, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews; special aunt, Hattie Taylor.
He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
A visitation for Willie will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Greater Progressive Baptist Church, 840 Ringold St, Houston, TX 77088. The funeral services will immediately follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The committal will be held from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
