Willie was born in Jonesville, Louisiana, on December 18, 1947. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1967. Following four years of service, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, he was honorably discharged and relocated to Michigan in 1971.
In 1972, Willie met the love of his life, Jeffie White. They were happily married for 50 years until Jeffie’s passing. Willie dedicated 25 years of service as an electrician at General Motors. He was a proud 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He had a deep passion for his family and friends, traveling, and classic Corvettes.
He is survived by his loving daughters, LuWana Parker of Atlanta, Georgia, Deanna Johnson, and Stefanie Johnson, both of Houston, TX; his cherished grandchildren, Kharma Hall and Ajé Parker; and his siblings, Lonnie (Linda), Darlene, Arthur (Virginia), and Charles (Pat) Johnson.
Willie was preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne White; his brother, Herb; and his parents, Willie Sr. and Odell Johnson.
Visitation will be held on April 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Vigil and Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will take place on April 3, 2025, at 11:30 AM, followed by a committal service at Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
