She was born on the 28th of February 1925, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, and lived most of her adult life in Houston, Texas, where she met her husband, Arthur. She dedicated many years to helping her husband run his business, selling emergency and safety equipment to fire departments and law enforcement agencies.
Wilma was an avid participant in the ladies' activities at the Arabia Shrine. She was also an active member of Congregation Beth Israel.
She spent the last few years of her life residing at Treemont Retirement Community in Houston.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sadie Warnick, and her sister, Harriet Blanche Warnick, of Bogalusa, Louisiana, and her husband, Arthur H. Simon, Jr., of Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her daughter, Carole Sue Simon (and wife Jennifer), of Houston, Texas, and numerous friends and relatives around the country.
The family will gather for a private in person interment at nine o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 24th of June. The service will be livestreamed via Facebook Live and the link can be found below.
