Yulin, an entrepreneur and proud Texan, enjoyed work, golf, travel, and a nice bottle of wine. He is remembered as a generous person with a kind heart who put his family above all else. Yulin was born in on the 18th of July 1969 in Taipei, Taiwan, to Richard Chun-Hua Chen and Su-Fei Chen. The family immigrated to the United States in 1978. He attended West Hillsborough Elementary School, Crocker Middle School, and graduated from Burlingame High School in 1987. He obtained a bachelor's degree from California State University at Hayward in 1992 with a major in marketing.
While earning his degree, he worked at his father's plastic bag manufacturing business. He took on a variety of roles, including mechanic, driver, and packer. Yulin worked hard and learned the business at every level. He had extensive knowledge and experience with the different types of machinery that produce polypropylene woven bags and polyethylene bags. He was constantly discovering new ways to improve the products and shared his knowledge with others in the field, a selflessness that made him well respected by colleagues in the plastics industry. After his father’s retirement, Yulin took over the family business and ran it with great care and success.
Yulin is survived by his father; his doting wife, Eunice, and their four precious children, Ellie, Kellie, Ethan and Kethan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Su-Fei Chen. In addition to his children, Yulin is mourned by two beautiful, loving sisters, Voni Chen and Sabrina Chen-Louie; their spouses, Patrick Ju and Lester Louie; and four nieces and nephews, Rachael Wong, Evan Wong, Isabelle Louie, and Tyler Louie.
