Ziylah Jones (age 6) and Zaiya Jones (age 5) tragically passed away on October 22, 2025, in a house fire that took their young lives far too soon. Though their time on Earth was brief, their spirits left an everlasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew and loved them.
Ziylah and Zaiya were gentle, joyful souls who shared a deep love for music, dancing, and swimming. Their days were filled with laughter, twirls, and splashes — a celebration of innocence and wonder. They were known for their quiet nature, impeccable manners, and obedient hearts, always bringing peace and warmth wherever they went.
The girls adored animals and had a special connection with dogs, horses, and chickens. Their calm and loving presence made them natural caretakers, and their compassion extended to every living creature. Their favorite cartoons, Bluey and Super Kitty, reflected their playful imaginations and sweet personalities.
Ziylah and Zaiya are survived by their loving Mother, Azaria Jones, and Father, Richard Dei their Grandparents, Angelar Parker and Michael Jones; Great Grandmother Willow Jones, Aunts Teraney Moore and Lahilda Duiza; Uncles George Moore and Greggrie Moore; and a host of cousins who will carry their memory forward. They were preceded in death by their Great-Grandparents, Ben Jones, JT and Opal Moore.
While it breaks our hearts to say goodbye, we choose instead to say we’ll see you later. These precious angels may have left this world, but their light continues to shine in every song, every dance, and every loving memory. Their legacy is love — pure, gentle, and eternal.
A Celebration of Life will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX, 77038, United States. The service is scheduled for November 22, 2025, at 11:00 am.
