Zoey "Isadorable" Dockal

Zoey “Isadorable” Dockal got her angel wings on December 8, 2011 and joined Our Heavenly Father. Zoey was our little fighter who showed the world the true meaning of strength and courage. Her journey joined family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers in prayer and taught them of the relevance of faith, love, and hope.

She is survived by her proud parents, Mike and Gina Dockal; great-grandfather, Lloyd Dockal; great-grandmother, Helen Brandt; great-grandmother, Julia Gonzales; great-grandparents, Jeronimo and Esperanza Bazan; paternal grandparents, Mike and Linda Dockal; maternal grandparents, Joe and Raquel Gonzales; aunt, Sonja Gonzales; uncle, Paul Gonzales and cousin, Maya; uncle and aunt, Gabe and Jennie Gonzales, and cousins, Jayden, Isabel, and Chloe. Zoey was preceded in death by her loving great-grandparents, Daniel Gonzales, Jerry Brandt, and Betty Sue Dockal.

Zoey loved to eaves drop on others’ conversations, watch reality tv, read her favorite books, and listen to music. She was at her most comfortable with her tongue hanging out, her fingers in her mouth, and her little legs up in the air. Her favorite toys were her giraffe, her baby doll, and her glow seahorse. Zoey loved her Daddy time and it never took more than a second for him to get her to smile. Her favorite songs to sing with her Mommy were “You Are My Sunshine,” “ABC’s,” “The Wheels On The Bus,” and “Five Little Monkeys.” Zoey changed our perspective on life and love. It was the simple things that made our little family the happiest.

Losing Zoey has left our hearts broken. We are saddened to not get more time with her, but each moment we had with Zoey filled us with a lifetime’s worth of love and happiness. We know that these memories will be the fuel that will help get us through this difficult time and make our hearts whole again someday. We are blessed for the almost six months we had to call this most special angel our very own.

Though Zoey’s life here on earth was cut much too short, her spirit is one that will live on forever in the hearts of those who met her and those who came to know her through her story.
