Michael passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his wife and children, the evening of September 16, 2024. Preceded in death by his father, Albert Brown, and his brother, Monte Brown, Mike is survived by his mother, Jean (Fine) Brown, his brother and sister-in-law Dan and Cindy Brown, sister-in-law Joyce Brown, his wife Pamela Brown, his beloved children, Joshua, Jennifer (Blanchard) and Rachel Brown, his son-in-law Cody Blanchard, and Alexander Shea Blanchard, his grandson and the center of his universe.
Mike was the leader of the “Brown Dynasty”; he and his brothers dominated the sports scene during their years at Hughson High School. Mike was the one everybody could rely on to “take it up the middle”, and that’s exactly what he did, both in sports and in life.
Mike was a superb musician, and spent 37 seasons as a trombonist with the Phoenix Symphony. Before Phoenix, he spent a number of years playing with the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, and the Marin Symphony. He met his wife Pamela when they both won orchestra jobs in the Dayton Philharmonic in 1985. They married in 1990, and together raised three incredible children, all of whom he was so proud.
Mike was a man of true integrity, unwavering in his values and beliefs, and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He touched the lives of so many, and will be dearly missed by all.
