

Catherine Kay Stiles was called home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on July 4, 2012. She was born March 25, 1940 in Seminole, OK to her parents James C. Casey Sr. and Essie Maye Casey. She was devoted Christian with a strong faith in the Lord. Catherine was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. She always called her husband, Thurman "Sugar Babe!" They were married in 1960 for 37 years. She was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1996. Before she contracted Parkinson's she was happy, full of fun and larger than life. She won first prize in the Ripon Almond Blossom Festival Bake Off for her Almond Bell Pepper Nut Bread, 1st prize for her canned pickles and 2nd prize for her dried apricots at the Stanislaus County Fair. She loved music and Elvis Presley. Catherine lived in Ripon for 45 years. She was a room mother at Ripon Elem., and a member of the Amberlights C. B. Club in Modesto. She worked at Eckerts Cold Storage for 18 years until she retired. Catherine had a way to make you feel good when you were around her with her laugh and big smile. She loved her family and lived for her kids. We are going to miss her so much. We are grateful that the Lord took her home, and we will love her forever. She was preceded in death by her husband Thurman C. Stiles; her brothers, Bill Casey, Floyd Casey, James C. Casey Jr., Amos Casey and Jay B Casey Sr.; and her twin grandsons, Alexander and Leo Stiles. She is survived by her daughter, Tena (Michael) Imbrunetti of Stockton; son, Carl Stiles of Ripon; Ashley Borba; and her twin sister Martha McNamara of Ceres. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Thomas of Turlock; and her brothers Lummie Casey of Ceres, Paul Casey Sr., Al Casey, Coy Casey all of Modesto and Roy Casey of Turlock. Visitation will be July 10 at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson from 5-8pm. Graveside Service will be July 11 at 10:00am at Lakewood Memorial Park (Restland Garden), 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson.
