Dale, 81, passed away on April 15, 2011 in Oakdale, CA. At age 18 he joined the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Sergeant. He met his sweetheart, Delores and they were married in 1952. Dale first started working for Birds Eye Vegetables in Hillsboro, Oregon. He was transferred to the General Foods Modesto site in 1967
and retired in 1986 after 36 years of working for the same corporation. He was an avid golfer, having been a member of Oakdale Country Club and Spring Creek Country Club. He had four holes in one in his golfing career. Dale and Delores moved from Modesto to Oakdale in 1988. He is survived by his wife Delores; son Doug (Shirlee) Sloan; daughter DeAnn (Kevin) Bauche; a granddaughter, Cheri (Jim) Dixon; a grandson, Rusty and a great-grandson, Gavin. He was known for his golf, his stories, his sense of humor, and his love of family and friends. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society
