Edward Loyd McKay Sr. of Oakdale passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto,CA. A native of Vernon, Texas, Edward was raised in the Santa Cruz - Watsonville area, where he always returned for a good fish dinner and a walk on the beach. Edward was in the trucking business for 60 years. He was a veteran of the Navy, and was always very proud of serving his country.
Edward is survived by a sister Mary Baus of Longview Texas, his children John Kenney of Sacramento, Michael Kenney of Sebastopol, Kimberley Snodgrass of Modesto, Tamara McKay of Oakdale, and Edward L. McKay Jr. of Oakdale, also 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjory, parents Edward A. and Florence McKay, and sisters Ada Lucille Williams, and Alice Pearl McKay.
Visitation is Thursday August 15th from 4-8pm. Service is Friday August 16th at 11:30am. Both at Lakewood Funeral Home Heritage Chapel 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson.
