Gordon Andrew Barnes

Gordon Andrew Barnes passed away on February 27, 2013. He was a resident of San Joaquin County for the past 20 years. He was born in Nowata, OK. on March 8th 1936. He moved to California when he was a small child.

Gordon was a general contractor for 37 years and was a very talented man. Whatever he set his mind to do, he did. He received his pilot's license in December of 1975. He was a very talented musician also.

He is preceded in death by his oldest son, Lonnie Barnes and his sister Barbara.

He is survived by his son Larry Barnes of Hayward, CA.; daughter, Lynnette (Eddie) Viss of Ripon, CA; sons; Shane (Kim) Barnes of Arizona and Lance (Christie) Barnes of Manteca, CA.; siblings, John Barnes of Oklahoma, Anna Hart and Barney Barnes of Fresno, CA., as well as 8 grandchildren, who he loved dearly; Crystal, Whitney, Lonnie, Dustin, Levi, Lexus, Lincoln and Legacy; 3 great grandchildren, Legend, Levi and Legacy.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will held on Thursday, March 7th from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a chapel service on March 8th at 11:00 AM, both to be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA.
