

Gregory Earl Ingwerson, age 60 of Ceres, CA., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 3, 2012. Greg was born in Ceres on October 22, 1951 and continued to reside there until his passing.
At age 2, Greg became a polio survivor and was the local poster child for the March of Dimes. He attended Ceres schools, graduating from Ceres High School in 1969. Greg was elected the lifelong president for the class of '69, and was an avid reunion committee member.
Greg played the trumpet and loved all kinds of music. He was a league bowler for many years at Yosemite Lanes. Later in life Greg joined the ODD Fellows of La Grange and he participated in the Relay For Life .
He worked in finance for the automotive industry for more than 25 years. Greg was a loyal San Francisco Giants fan and always rooted for the Pittsburg Steelers. His warm smile, hearty laughter and kind personality will be missed by all.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Janice (Nana) Ingwerson, Gus (Papa) Ingwerson and his ex-wife, Karen Taylor Ingwerson. He is survived by his four siblings and their spouses; Amron Schumacher (Dick), Sherri Ingwerson Thornburg (Les), Eric Ingwerson (Carol), Malrie Fry; his three children, Nathan, Seth and Amanda Ingwerson; two grandchildren, Siemon and Addisyn Ingwerson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17th at 2:00 PM, at Lakewood Funeral Home (Riverside Chapel), 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA. A celebration of his life will be held immediately following the service at Ceres Community Center, 2701 Fourth Street in Ceres.
