Harold Wayne Dawson

March 19, 1949 – May 2, 2023

Denair, California – Harold Dawson, 74, passed peacefully at his home in Denair on May, 2, 2023. Harold was born on March, 19, 1949 in Astoria, Oregon to Keith Alden Dawson and Elizabeth Ursula Melish in 1949. Early years were spent in Astoria, and Fremont, Ca. where he met the love of his life Paula in high school, they were married and both graduated from Irvington High School in Fremont, Ca. Shortly after graduation he started working at Hanson Concrete where he worked for 39 years. Harold enjoyed fishing, Hot Rods, and working on his Almond ranch. He started attending church with Paula and was baptized in 2004 at Denair first Baptist Church were he also served as a trustee for a period. He could often be found on his tractor whether it be at home or the church. He enjoyed hard work and used it to serve the church and his family well. After Paula passed in 2009 he married Nancy Johns of southern California. Harold is survived by his wife of 12 years, Nancy Johns, his daughter Christina Hensley and his son Harold Dawson Jr.. He was also survived by his three sisters Lenora Strader, Debra Diaz, and Tina Presby. He was preceded in death by his brother George Dawson

A funeral service for Harold will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home - Riverside Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park - Tuolumne Garden, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326.
