Our mother, Ida (Adelaide) Carvalho Solorio was born in Madeira, Portugal to Francisco and Felicidade Carvalho. She moved to the US as a young woman where she met her husband, Alfred Solorio and became a mother of four.
Throughout her life she was a homemaker and a community builder, always doing things for others. Self-taught in many things, she shared her talents with everyone around her.
She found great comfort in her faith and was a member of the Legion of Mary, Our Lady of Fatima Association, YLi and the Eucharistic Ministry. What gave her the most joy was to be with her family, spending time with her eight grandchildren, Tony, Nico, Sierra, Nick, Lauren, Dominique, Jordan, and Taylor. She is survived by her four children, Alfred, Henry, Martha, and Cecilia and their respective families as well as extended family in South Africa, Portugal, and Venezuela. She touched the lives of so many, and will be missed dearly. In loving memory.❤
