Dr. Lommel was my pediatrician from the day I was born until I married at 19 and sadly had to finally tearfully find a different doctor, however when I found out I was pregnant two years later I immediately called to make sure Dr. Lommel would be the peditrian to my new baby, when my second baby was born it was a planned C-section and my husband and Dr. Lommel was there with me in the operating room and Dr. Lommel was the person who took the baby out to meet the rest of the family and introduce my newest son to my other son, three years later when my daughter was to be born via C-section Dr. Lommel agreed to be right there by my side in the operating room along side my husband, which gave me such peace of mind. He always laughed at the story of when he took my daughter out to meet my two sons after her birth and to meet the grandparents my youngest son who was three years old told Dr. Lommel "but she's a girl, I don't like girls I want a brother named shorty" he laughed everytime we went in to see him after that and would ask my son how his sister "shorty" is doing. When he retired I felt an ache in my heart and a true saddness. I send my most sincerest and heart felt condolence to his family and may Dr.Jerry rest in peace forever more.

Dr. Jerome Lommel (Uncle Jerry) was my godfather.He was a wonderful uncle and I had contact with him up to a few years ago. I am Rose Uberecken's daughter Carol and Aunt Anna Mae (Lommel) Kiebert was my godmother. Uncle Jerry is in my prayers and my sincere condolences to the family. Love to you all.

My father, Dr. Edward Jack Denenholz, was Dr. Lommel's dear friend for many years, until my father's untimely death in 1965. My deepest condolences to Dr. Lommel's family.

We will miss Dr. Lommel greatly.  He was so gentle, funny and kind.  My dad and husband loved going to Monday night football with him, where they also won at trivial pursuit.  We are praying for him and his family.  - Kathy Aguilar

Dr Lommel was my Docter when I was growing up..my Mom was a single parent and had to work, often I went to see him alone. He always took the time to call my Mom at work and tell her what was wrong with me. 
When I became a parent, I chose him to care for my children, nobody else would do! At that time I had a home daycare, I would go in there with 6 kids in tow, he always made sure that Hazel gave ALL the kids a sucker! I am so grateful for the care he showed me, and my children. He helped me be a better parent... God Bless Him~

I worked with Dr. Lommel at Doctor's Hospital (when it really was Doctor's Hospital) in the 1960's.  He was wonderful to work with and we chose him as our pediatrician and saw him until he retired.  He was a kind, practical and unassuming man and I always looked forward to seeing him.  Our children remember him fondly.  Running into him at Raley's and other places in town was a joy.  Our last contact was when he and his wife were residents of Stratford at Beyer Park when my mother in law was there. Our memories will always be wonderful ones!

Dr. Lommel was our family pediatrician in the early 60s and we remember him and his healing ways fondly.  He was a great Doctor and a great human being.  We always enjoyed seeing him tooling around Modesto in his Austin Healy.  Rest peacefully, Dr. Lommel.
