Jose Mendoza

Jose Mendoza was born on July 4, 1925 in El Ysote, a ranch near Cualcoman, Michoacan, Mexico. He was a man of many facets; he was kind, loving, and extraordinarily generous. His heart was filled with love and joy for his family, often speaking fondly of his brothers and sisters, whom he cherished deeply.

After relocating with his family to Las Canoas, a ranch near Aguililla, Michoacan, Jose met the love of his life, Zenaida Prado Palafox. They were united in marriage in 1945, marking the beginning of a beautiful partnership. As a devoted husband, he loved his wife dearly, and together they welcomed 13 children into this world. Between 1946 and 1969, they had 8 daughters and 5 sons. Jose was a father who loved each of his children equally. Though he embraced traditional values, he was also understanding, open-minded, and progressive, adapting to the needs of his growing family.

Jose's legacy is vast, with five generation flourishing under his care. He became a grandfather, a great-grandfather, a great-great-grandfather, and even a great-great-great-grandfather. He loved witnessing the joy of his growing family and the continuation of his family lineage. His greatest achievements included marrying Zenaida, raising his children, and relocating his family to America, all of which filled him with immense pride and joy.

Jose Mendoza lived a happy, fulfilling life of 100 years and 102 days, peacefully passing at home, surrounded by his family on October 14, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love and unity, having placed a remarkable total of 96 people on this earth, with more to come.

We love him and miss him dearly, and we'll cherish all of the memories we shared. May our lord Jesus Christ welcome him with open arms, and may he rest in peace.
