He was a World War II veteran and a retired union carpenter of 30 years. He loved working with wood and fabricating his own equipment and machinery. He loved his family and life. He faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church of Modesto, CA.
LaMont is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Doris Wyatt Pratt of Modesto; children, Dwight (Diane) Pratt of Fresno, CA., Duane (Debbie) Pratt of Modesto; grandchildren, Sean Pratt of Bakersfield, CA., Carrie Pratt of Planada, CA., Heather Pratt of Selma, CA., Trevor Pratt of Modesto; great grandchildren, Donovan Pratt of Bakersfield, Carmel Richardson and Grant Richardson of Planada, London Pratt of Modesto; siblings, Floyd Pratt of Black River Falls, Wisconsin and Janet Kindschy of Osseo, Wisconsin.
