Larry Lee Kilgore

Larry Kilgore, Sr. of Modesto, California, passed away February 14, 2019. He was born in Jeffersonville, Ohio on August 3rd, 1941. Larry graduated from the University of California, Davis and received a Master’s of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician’s Assistant. He was married to Jasmine Kilgore on May 29, 2007.

Larry had two prestigious carriers in his life time. He started his first career in the United States Navy as an enlisted man at the age of seventeen and rose to become a Commisioned Lieutenant Commander. According to family Kilgore, he was the youngest in naval history to achieve this feat. He had many different tours of duty and traveled the world with his family. After retiring from the Navy, he received his Master’s and worked as a Nurse Practitioner for many years. He worked in a variety of different settings from correctional facilities to family practice clinics. He did not want to retire from nursing, but had to due to illness. His greatest passions were coaching/watching his children and grandchildren in various athletic sports. He enjoyed watching the Oakland A’s, but lost interest in the Golden State Warriors when they “stacked” the team by obtaining Kevin Durant. His other great passion was Fox News…..

Regina Flores (daughter, preceded in death), Jose Flores (son-in-law), Larry Lee Kilgore, Jr. (son), Cassandra Kilgore (daughter-in-law), Tabitha King (stepdaughter), Patrick King (son-in-law), Tagried Pervaiz (stepson), Aneel Pervaiz (stepson), Jason Pervaiz (stepson), Adin King (grandson), Micah King (grandson), A’marie King (granddaughter), Hailey Pervaiz (granddaughter), Ian Pervaiz (grandson), Aaliyanah Pervaiz (granddaughter), Joseph Flores (grandson), Jesse Flores (grandson), Jason Flores (grandson), Josie Flores (granddaughter), Dallas Kilgore (granddaughter), Nolan Kilgore (grandson) and Tobias Hendrickson (grandson), Michael Kilgore (brother, preceded in death), Daniel Kilgore (brother, preceded in death), John Kilgore (brother, preceded in death), Richard Kilgore (brother, preceded in death), Nancy Gullick (sister), Patricia Wisecup (sister), Sally Souther (sister, preceded in death).

Family and friends are invited to celebrate this remarkable man’s life on February 23, 2019, at Lakewood Memorial, 900 Santa Fe, Hughson, California. Visitation service held 10:00 am to 11:00 a.m., funeral service 11:00 a.m.
