Lois Jewel Reed

Lois Reed passed peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Los Osos, CA, where she lived with her son, Terry Reed, Daughter-In-Law, Melony, and granddaughter, Gena.

Lois was born July 4, 1931, in Santa Maria Ca. to Leonard and Minnie Brasher. Lois was raised on her parents' Peach Ranch on Whitmore Ave in Hughson, CA, where she graduated from HUHS in 1949. Lois married Don Reed at her Parents' home in 1950 and were married for 63 years.

Lois is survived by two of her children, Dick Reed of Denair, CA, and Terry Reed and Daughter-In-Law Melony Reed of Los Osos, CA; Sister, Rosalie Carr of West Virginia; 10 Grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her Parents, Leonard and Minnie Brasher; her husband, Don; her son, Bruce; her daughter, Karen; and her siblings, John Brasher, Leona Brasher, Edith Andrus, and Vera Freeman.

Lois enjoyed her love of fashionable and beautiful clothing as Co-Owner of Kitty's Dress Shop in Hughson.

Lois will be buried with her husband, Don, at Graveside Services at Lakewood Memorial Park on April 10 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Lois was a loyal donor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A donation can be made in her Honor.
