Marcelino Ron de La Cruz, beloved father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away on Wednesday November 20, 2024 at the age of 85. Born in Tepuzhuacan Nayarit, Mexico on December 30, 1938, he lived a life filled with kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family. In 1956 he proudly immigrated to USA through the “Bracero Program” working hard and earning his US citizenship. He worked and retired from Tri-Valley Growers after 40+ years. Marcelino took pride in his work and was a member of the Teamsters Local 748. Known for his generosity, zest for life and humor, he touched countless lives, offering guidance and support to all who knew him.
His passions included, the endless love for his wife Edelmira (who he now joins in heaven), watching his children and grandchildren grow up and accomplish their dreams. He had a great passion for traveling and going to the beach. He lived and loved to watch soccer, and found joy watching his children and grandchildren play soccer at all levels. One of his greatest memories is traveling to Europe, Mexico and all over California to catch a game of soccer. He is survived by his children, his Legacy of love, “Echale Ganas en todo”, and strength will live on forever in his children Marvin, Mario, Angela, Susanna and 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. May his soul rest in peace. He will be deeply missed.
