Mom has left us to go tend to her very own, new garden. In life, you would frequently find her in her garden, tending to her babies. That is what the plants were to her. Mom could take a plant cutting, or a seed, plant it the ground, and it would always grow into a beautiful plant or fruit bearing tree.
As a child, in Mexico, she would waltz into the corn fields, finding the perfect ear of corn, and she would pretend it was a beautiful lady. She would pull the husks down, to make a gown, and she would use the corn silk as the flowing hair. Depending on the stage of the corn, the lady might have yellow blonde hair, or be a brunette, or even a red head.
Mom had an inherent love of flowers, in particular, roses. In her free time, she would peruse her favorite seeds and flower magazines ...Our Mom was a gardener, an artist, seamstress, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
And we know her new garden will be forever blossoming.
