Marlene Fay Sloan

Born June 26, 1944 in Palo Alto, California, she is the youngest daughter of the late Archie and Nina Sloan.

Upon graduating from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Marlene worked for SRI, International in Menlo Park, CA as a research assistant. After moving to Turlock, she worked for Foster Farms, Modesto Police Department, and then became more active in selling Real Estate. She was more recently an agent at Century 21, M&M Real Estate and Select Real Estate in Turlock. Her main passion was in breeding and selling Standard Bred horses.

Marlene is survived by her brother, Lester and his wife Winnie of Santa Clara, CA as well as nephews Brian Sloan and his fiancé Angela Begley, Kevin Sloan and his wife Melissa, Robert Flora, and nieces Lorinda Sloan-Pardi and Roanne Flora-Boward. She is also survived by multiple great-nieces and nephews. Marlene was predeceased by her sister Donna Flora.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA. Interment will follow.

Marlene always loved animals. In memory of her, donations may be made to any local animal shelter or the ASPCA.
