My brother you left without a warning or goodbye but before leaving you spent precious moments with us all to cherish in your memory. Today I’m remembering how you taught me to drive a car. Though I was probably too young to I learned in Mom's blue minivan sneaking away for a thrill with you. Oh, boy was mom upset when we backed into a tree in the Hickman orchards. You laughed because she thought it happened much later when we took off from tia’s house, you said damn she’s barely finding out now as she was whipping our butts!! I remember singing to the tv show cops while you danced next to the tv. I sang,  “Raul Raul what you gonna do when they come for you!” Cool Raul you are definitely cooler than the water in the swimming pool! I’ll remember you as simple minding, yet profound and spontaneous and honest even when it hurt. You formed a bond with us all in a way that no one else can fill. I believe that you were misunderstood by many but were comfortable in your own skin. You knew that you were gold and you said it proudly.  Thank you brother for the time that you spend with us. You will be missed and never forgotten.  I love you, your sister Nancy

Dear Cool Raul, 
Even though you have stinky feet you taught me everything. =) 
I remember how growing up you were so fast that when mother tried to spank you for a bad deed you would run like the wind and sometimes without clothes on!  Yes, I remember that like it was yesterday.  As much as you and I fought all the time you were always my brother; so protective and genuine and would give your shirt off your back to those you loved.  Growing up in the Pentecostal church we learned to be God-fearing people. I clearly remember the day that you were baptized and received the holy spirit it changed me inside to watch how blessed and at peace you were.  I have no doubt that you are a child of God and that for some reason he has called you home. I'm deeply saddened to have to say goodbye to you and will cherish our times together. Please tell mother that I love her, She worried so much about you because you were her baby. I'm sure that she is at peace now that you are with her. God bless you Bulin from your brother Gordo. I love you!
