I feel so blessed that I got to have grandpa Richard as my grandpa. I have so many wonderful memories and am going to continue to miss him very much. He passed on to me his love of gardening and I am reminded of that every time I look out in my yard and see all of the plants he gave me continue to grow and bloom. I am going to miss him very much but will be forever grateful for all that he taught me and the memories I will always keep, I love you grandpa and will see you again someday in heaven.

Sometimes certain events can give perspective that one doesn't expect:  My participation in the end of Richard's life took my understanding of Richard and turned it around a few times before setting it down into the the larger view I now have of who he was.

He probably should not have been an electrician, but a philosopher or theologian.  I feel that if he had given this part of his life more nourishment when he was young that he might have found his true calling.  He was intensely interested in theology and the relationship of the divine and the human.  

From how I know him, he was called to service but he had a very hard time letting other people have their own direct experience of the divine.  He wanted to know for sure that we would all be in heaven with God and with him.  I would love to say to Richard, "don't worry, God is about love, not judgment."  But I don't need to tell him that, he will know by now.  

He was a very sweet uncle with a great sense of humor and a big heart.  He loved Millie, which is what I cared about most.  When they were first married--so sweet to remember them then--how wonderful to see her happy.

I have memories of him and I building a tree house. He built me a work bench next to his big work bench when I was about 7 yrs old. He would take me to work with him from time to time. 

I want to thank my dad for praying for me through all these years until I found a personal relationship with Jesus. Now I can be in heaven with him too. I miss him so much. Life will never be the same. I love you dad.

Grandpa was a great father and grandfather, he holds a special place in my heart, he will be missed by me and my kids, the true loss is with my grandkids who are to young to probably remember him. However I am confident he has great rewards in heaven and he waits for us there.

I dont know how many of you know, but Richard Ferrari was not as some people would say my blood related grandpa he was my step grandpa. I didn't know that until I was about 15 or so I'd say. Even though I knew that I never thought of him in that way. He was just my grandpa. The only grandpa I had ever know. The only grandpa that was interested in spending time with me. The only one who would play with me and who would take me to the park. Ill always remember how he never minded taking me and my cousins to the park behind their house on Landini, he always seemed excited to see and play with us. He was the best grandpa even though he sometimes drove us a lil crazy at times... with his "dont drink dr pepper or eat sugar its bad for you" and "live our lives in a way that was pleasing to God. " That was ok though as I got older I realized that it was because he cared so much about us and that he wanted the best for us. I tried my best to embrace it and see him for the good man he was and know that he was saying those things because he loved me and all of his grandchildren and wanted the best for our lives, and for us someday to join him in heaven. He knew he was going to go to heaven someday and seeing his faith helped me believe stronger in God and helped my faith growing in God. He wanted everyone in the world to know what he knew about The Lord and tried his best to tell as many people as he could, I never told him but I really always thought it was so awesome because I am such a shy person. I have such a hard time in sharing things with new people. I feel very selfish right now. I don't want him back suffering like he was, I just wish we could have him back the way he was before he got sick. The person who would be there for anyone in a minute if you needed him. I didn't know how much I needed him until I knew he wasn't coming home. Me and my daughter Abbi went out to see him and grandma every week this past year because somehow we had a feeling there might not be much time with grandma and grandpa but i still didn't get how precious that time was with him. I guess my feelings will get easier with time because it feels so unbelievable right now. It feels like the pain will never go away. I hope he knows how much we love him and miss seeing him. He was a great man and it feels so unreal. I know he's up in heaven right now saying don't be sad I'm where I've always wanted to be! Thats the only thing that comforts me is knowing I will see him again up in heaven someday. Love u Grandpa. Miss you more than words can describe.

Richard loved evangelism & loved sharing the Lord with others.  He awakened a new drive in our church!  He will be missed & remembered.  May the Lord comfort you during this difficult time and know that he is with our Lord, just waiting for us all to join him someday!

Milli, We were so sorry to hear of Richards passing. He always had the greatest jokes and knew how to put a smile on your face. Mom and I will miss him.

My condolences to Richrd's family.  I've known Richard nearly all my life.  He was a kind, honest, religious, and generous man.  I think of him nearly every day when my high quality and perfectly designed and installed (over 20 years ago!) outside lights come on.

RICHARD WAS A FRIEND AND WAS A BLESSING TO BE AROUND. HE CAME TO OUR CHURCH SOME TIME BACK AND STARTED A MISSIONARY PROGRAM THAT WAS AND IS GREAT.
WE WILL MISS HIM BUT HE IS WITH OUR LORD.
