It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tek Por, age 88, of Ceres, California, who passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Born on May 15, 1937 in Kosh Krolor, Battambang, Cambodia. A survivor of the Khmer Rouge made his way to the United States with his family in 1982. From there Tek’s life was marked by kindness, humility, and a deep sense of love for his family, his Cambodian roots, and his American home.
His deep compassion was felt by all who knew him, and his quiet strength provided a source of comfort and guidance to his loved ones. Above all, he believed in the importance of family, kindness, and doing good in the world.
Tek is survived by his wife Ren of 57 years, his four children, Vy, Chantha, Chanthy, and James, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts forever. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and his legacy of love, warmth, and generosity will continue to inspire future generations.
A service to celebrate Tek’s life will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on June 14, 2025, where family and friends will gather to honor his extraordinary life and the many lives he touched.
We will carry his memory in our hearts forever and strive to live by the values he taught us every day. Tek's love and legacy will never be forgotten.
