Vesta Lee Robertson September 2, 1933 — June 24, 2024 Riverbank, California Vesta was born to Jim Robertson and Effie Turner in Reed Springs, Missouri. The family moved to California when Vesta was a toddler. The family settled in Oroville, and this is where she spent the next thirty years of her life. Vesta married Tonie Robertson in November 1949. They had three children, Belinda, Doug, and Cheryl.
Vesta spent many years as a dietitian in Stanislaus County. Her main undertaking in life was faithfully serving God next to her husband as he served as pastor to four Missionary Baptist churches during his lifetime. One of God's callings brought the family to Oakdale in 1967. Vesta loved people; she never met a stranger. Most of all she loved her family. She stepped from this world into heaven surrounded by family. Vesta's mischievous grin and bright blue eyes will be missed by all.
Vesta was preceded in death by her husband (Tonie), grandson (Joshua), and sister (Juanita). She is survived by her children Belinda (Don), Doug, and Cheryl (Johnny), her brother Jimmy, as well as her grandchildren Larimie, Mathias, Christopher, Ashleigh, and Cambry and four great-grandchildren Carmyn, Ty, Logan and Emilee.
Vesta's Memorial Service will be held July 8, 2024, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
